We had a pretty laid back and chill 4th of July. We hung out all day at home. I kept thinking maybe we could make it down to the park for the festivities, but its too dang hot! I know, we are so lame! We used to do the park in town every year and watch the fireworks. Now that we have a million kids, it's way too hard. Is it me or has the VW Park gotten way more crowded in the last few years? Way too stressful for me (especially once it gets dark). So we started a new tradition last year. We get together with a bunch of people in our neighborhood and do fireworks in the circle. They are actually really good fireworks. I am sure half of them are illegal. No traffic, no waiting in line to pee, no walking 2 miles to your car.
Sounds like a good plan to me!

This pretty much sums up Tanner's experience with fireworks. He screamed the whole time. Patrick held him during the show and had to keep his ears covered. If Patrick took his hands off of Tanners ears, he would start screaming and crying again! It was funny though cuz once we got home, he was jumping up and down and was so excited saying how much fun that was! "I yuv'ed the "pops" mom! That was fun!" Ok Tanner, you are crazy!
I had to wake Cade up from a nap to go to the neighborhood party. He is a bit of a grump if he is forced to wake up.
I wish I would have brushed up on my "taking pictures in the dark". My flash was so annoying and bright. Hopefully next year I will have better pictures!
My cute girl at her first 4th of July celebration! I was very surprised because she liked the fireworks. I thought for sure she would freak out. She just sat there and watched in amazement.
