The Perfect Challenge for me!

I am so excited to be participating in a fun class/challenge called The Joy of Love. I don't think they are calling it a challenge, but I am. I need to be better about taking {and posting} pics of my family, so this is just what I need! How it works is I will be emailed a photo theme for the day, and I take a picture of someone that I love with the theme in mind. I am not promising that I will post everyday, so sometimes a post may have a few days of pics. Then, at the end of them month, you turn it into a cute Valentines book. If you are interested in participating, you should! It's totally free!

Of course, I am two days late, but I am pretty sure it will be easy to catch up!
Oh, if you look at my photoblog, you may see some repeats!

01: what they do

This Girl loves to color!  She refuses to color with anything but markers!

Thank goodness the color wonder markers make her happy:)

{Oh, be prepared to see alot of crazy hair.}

Happy Birthday Cohlee!

Can you believe it?? I surely can't!  This kid has turned our world upside down!  Now we have dolls, strollers, princess movies.....I am still not used to the idea of a little girly!  I love it though, and I am so thankful for her!  Happy birthday cutie!  We love you!  I have to include a picture of the cake I made for her.  It's no pro job, but I had to prove that sometimes, I do bake!!

She didn't get it from me!

I found Miss Priss asleep the other day sitting straight up on the couch.  She looked so sweet and peaceful with her crusty Easy Mac on her nose, I had to get the camera out. She got her dads lashes, lucky girl!
BTW, she is turning 2 this friday!  CRAZY!!

Markers and Twinkley Sun Circles

This is off the subject, but who cares.  We have a big tree in our back yard.  In the evening time before when the sun is still out, the sun makes these twinkly little circles on my living room wall.  I love it.

I don't love little miss writing on her white shirt.

Cohlee's Obsession

I think she may end up being one of those people who are addicted to tattoos. Every day, she manages to find a marker or a pen and inks herself. She doesn't do too much damage to walls and stuff, just herself and her clothes. Everytime we go to someone's house, I have to give them a Cohlee warning. If there is a marker hiding somewhere, she will find it.

Don't let her cuteness fool you.  She is a little terror!!!

Yes, we are alive.

For some strange reason, I am in the mood to blog. I think it's cuz I am wearing a cutesy apron my friend Jen gave me for Christmas. I am wearing an apron because I just put a pot roast in the slow cooker. I am feeling all domestic so I guess in my mind if your domestic, you blog. Which really its probably the opposite. The domestic on the ball people don't spend the time blogging, they are actually getting stuff done. Boring.
I have been keeping this folder on my desktop titled "Pictures to blog". I really wasn't sure what I would find in it. I knew there wouldn't be a ton of pictures of the boys because, you know, they are anti. The only pictures I have are ones that they are watching TV and I quickly snap a picture cuz they aren't paying attention and staying still. What I found was pictures of the destruction created by our holy terror. Seriously. This kid doesn't stop. She is into everything. I would like to blame my BFF Lindsay. It's all.your.fault. My boys were pretty mellow as babies/toddlers. I didn't even have child locks on anything when they were young. Lindsay has always been jealous of this. Her little Dal is what I like to call "Curious". For example, when I was visiting them in Idaho, he was curious about what it would be like to fill his squirt bottle up with his pee. I don't think I have laughed so hard!! So Lindsay would always ask me what my secret was, and I would tell her that I am just that good. I make mellow chill babies. So when I was prego with Cohlee, I kid you not, she cursed me. She said that this baby would be so naughty and into everything. I just laughed. Girls are always the easy ones, right? Wrong!! Well...Thanks a lot. It's a good thing you live in Idaho, cuz as punishment, I would bring Cohlee over every day and let her loose in your house. I am sure her and Dal would have lots of fun!

This is her latest favorite thing to do.  Get out the foil, wax paper, saran wrap, and play, play, play!!

Cohlee is now 18 months. She has the curliest hair! Except for the hair on the top is completely straight. I am hoping to take her out soon for a little photo shoot. I am sure I will get lots of pictures of her running away. She is now in nursery at church. She is doing really good thank goodness. She is a feisty little thing. If her brothers are sitting there eating something and its in reach, she won't even hesitate and grab it out of their hands. They don't love that. They do love playing with her. They think its so hilarious to watch her play with her doll. One minute she is giving it loves, the next minute, she is chucking it down the stairs.

She is such a stinker. We love her tons. I will be sad once I don't have a little person to chase around. But then my house will be way cleaner.

Where are the Palmers?

I'm a bad, bad blogger! Why is it so difficult sometimes? And then other times, I can't imagine going a whole week without putting a post about my crazy kids. It's all or nothing for me. So here is a little treat. A miracle pretty much happened the other day. I got a decent picture of Cohlee. I know that isn't the best way to advertise for Christina P. Photography, but my children are abnormally difficult when it comes to pictures.  My blog header is evidence enough. Cohlee can't sit still for even half of a second. It's a known fact that it's always harder with your own kids.

On a separate note, we had a super fun Halloween.  We went around our neighborhood with all of our friends.  There is a family down the street that sets up a big movie screen and has scarey movies playing.  Once we got to their house, we sat down and stayed there the rest of the night.  Did I mention they were even serving Chili?  That's how cool my neighborhood is!

My baby is walking!

Cohlee has been walking for a few weeks now. I know. I am slacking big time. I This girl is such a nut! She is way more daring than any of my boys ever were. She will find a step and go up and down it.  She will fall a lot, but get right back up.  It's because she is a girl. Girls are tougher! She will eat anything (unlike boys), loves to eat my toothpaste (weird?), will start spazzy dancing out of the blue even if there is no music, she is a total girl. I don't mean princess dress up type of girl. I mean major attitude, thinks she rules the house girl! I love her!

As you can see, she loves to eat rocks.  I have so many pictures of her chewing on rocks.

If she finds a puddle of water on the ground do you think she splashes?  Nope.  She decides to help herself to a drink!
Cohlee is in that great stage of getting into EVERYTHING!  Her favorite, my bathroom.  She goes straight for the toothpaste every single time.  I have seen her get a big glob of it on her finger and stick it into her mouth.  She loves it.

Here she is after her toothpast snack.

Happy Birthday Cohlee!

Holy cow! Has a year really passed? Why does it go by so dang fast? A day hasn't gone by in the last year that I haven't thought about how lucky I am to have a daughter. She is such a fun little stinker. She loves her brothers. She is consistently taking their stuff. If they take it back, she will fight back and try to get their toy. Its funny now, but I am sure it won't be for very much longer. I know I have said before that Cohlee loves food. If she see's food but can't get to it, she growls. I am not saying a little grrrr. More like you hear it and get scared cuz you think a bear has come into the kitchen. It doesn't sound like a sound that should be coming from a pretty princess. I am trying to get it on video. So I tried (keyword, tried) to get some decent pictures of Cohlee with her cute birthday pettiskirt and cake. Please remember this as you look at my sad attempt to take pictures of the birthday girl:

1. I was completely by myself trying to pose a 1 yr old, focus, tell 1 year old to come back, go after 1 year old, repose, refocus, and take picture.
2. Cohlee will not sit still even for a second.
3. At least I tried, right?

She isn't walking yet, but I think she will be soon. She will stand, take a step and then fall. One of her favorite things to do is splish and splash in the potty. Yippee! Every single one of my kids have gone through this. Every single one of my kids have splished and splashed in pee and probably worse...... It's disgusting.

My friends Annie and Amber (who are cute sisters) made Cohlee a super cute birthday cake. Thanks girlies! It was perfect and tasty!

For some reason, she thought it would be fun to use her karate moves on the cake.

She really likes the karate kicking!
This is what most of the pictures I took consisted of...Cohlee dashing away!
