First day of Kindergarten

Yes, I know I am a slacker. Better late than never, right?

I tried to get a cute "headshot" of Cade like I had for Weston.

3rd Grade Already?

I don't know how its even possible. To have a 3rd grader already. I mean, it seems not that long ago that I was in 3rd grade. But......I guess it was a long time ago:( Really though, I am super excited for Weston. He has been counting down the days {me too} for school to start. He is happy with the teacher he got and that is a really big deal! I got this idea from a cute photog up north named Laci Davis to have them write their name on a plain paper with what grade they are in.  That way years down the road if you come across the picture and it doesn't have a date and you are super forgetful {not me, I'm just sayin'}, it's written on the paper.  Plus, you can see what their handwriting looks like at that time too!  So thanks for the idea! Cade's first day of kindergarten is next week!  Woot Woot!!

 

Happy Birthday Cohlee!

Can you believe it?? I surely can't!  This kid has turned our world upside down!  Now we have dolls, strollers, princess movies.....I am still not used to the idea of a little girly!  I love it though, and I am so thankful for her!  Happy birthday cutie!  We love you!  I have to include a picture of the cake I made for her.  It's no pro job, but I had to prove that sometimes, I do bake!!

I found Miss Priss asleep the other day sitting straight up on the couch.  She looked so sweet and peaceful with her crusty Easy Mac on her nose, I had to get the camera out. She got her dads lashes, lucky girl!

BTW, she is turning 2 this friday!  CRAZY!!

Markers and Twinkley Sun Circles

This is off the subject, but who cares.  We have a big tree in our back yard.  In the evening time before when the sun is still out, the sun makes these twinkly little circles on my living room wall.  I love it.

My friend Andrea and I did a little fathers day shoot with my kids and her kids.  Of course, I show up and forgot my memory card for my camera!!!  Thats what happens when I am the crazy person trying to get four kids ready and out the door secretly.  Thanks Andrea for taking ALL of the pictures!!

Cohlee's Obsession

I think she may end up being one of those people who are addicted to tattoos. Every day, she manages to find a marker or a pen and inks herself. She doesn't do too much damage to walls and stuff, just herself and her clothes. Everytime we go to someone's house, I have to give them a Cohlee warning. If there is a marker hiding somewhere, she will find it.

The best gift ever!

I started this post a few days after mothers day.  For some reason it has taken me this long to finish.  Geesh!

This year for mothers day, I got the best gift ever. I guess you can say that it is the gift that keeps on giving. Tanner decided that he is finally ready to wear big boy underwear and get this.....go potty in the big boy potty!! Woooohooooo! We are doing the happy dance here at our house! So do you want to know the trick?

So here is how it went down: I was changing his diaper the other night.  We have the same conversation every time of basically me telling him that he is too old to wear diapers and yada, yada, yada.  This night the convo went a bit differently:

Me:  "Tanner, when are you going to start going on the big boy potty?"

T-dog:  "I don't want to."
Me:  "You know what, the Diaper Monster is coming tonight and he is going to be taking all of your
diapers.  He is only leaving diapers for Cohlee."

T-dog:  "Does the Diaper Monster bite?"

Me:  "Um....yes!!!  If you go potty in your underwear, he will bite your bum."

T-dog:  "I want to wear underwear right now"

Me:  "No, its ok.  You are going to bed and he won't be here until tomorrow."

The next day, we put underwear on Tanner, and he didn't have a single accident!!
After a couple days, no accidents and he is a pro!!!  3 kids down, one more to go!!

This kid is hilarious.  Everyone falls in love with him the second they meet him.

 

Time flies when your having so.much.fun!!

Seriously?  I knew it had been awhile since I last posted, but I didn't realize almost 2 whole months!  Like I said, I guess we are just having so much fun! I can not believe that this school year is almost over!  The boys are so exited for summer to come.  Everyday, Cade comes up to me and asks me if it is summer yet. We can't wait to get out the blow up pool, set it up in the front yard, and catch some rays WT style.  Thats how we roll.  I am really excited to watch Cohlee swim this summer.  She loves the water and I have a feeling she will be the crazy baby in a life jacket running and jumping into the pool fearlessly. Im talking real pool, not blow up!!  Last summer she was still crawling, so it was harder.  Now sometimes her brothers have a hard time keeping up with her!  I know I do.  So I wanted to get a good spring picture of the kids.  I am sure you all know how that turned out!
